Wyoming is known as “The Cowboy State” and the least populous state in the country, with just under 600,000 residents, 10% of that live in the state’s capital of Cheyenne. It’s also home to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Park close to a 109,000 of river, much of which offer some of the most outstanding Rocky Mountain trout fly fishing in the Lower 48. Wyoming is a land of contrasting topography; in the western half dominated by the Rocky Mountains, while the eastern half of the state is high-elevation prairie called the “High Plains”. We love Wyoming for its wide open landscape, few people and excellent trout fly fishing opportunities.
