We are holding our 1st Annual Women’s Day in partnership with Trout Unlimited. This is an event for women taught by women. There is no fee for this, class sign-ups will be through Trout Unlimited.
We are fortunate and have some amazing ladies coming from all over to help get more women into this amazing sport. Here are a few – Mia Sheppard (World Champion Spey Caster, guide and conservationist), Mary Ann Dozer (guide and FFI Certified Master Casting Instructor, guide), Cheryl O’Neill (instructor with the Golden Gate Angling and Casting Club), Katie Falkenberg (Pulitzer Prize finalist, journalist, conservationist), Jessica Strickland (TU’s California Field Coordinator), Helen Neville (Director of Research and Science Partnerships for Trout Unlimited), Kayla Katayama (Her Waters Fly Fishing, guide, ambassador) and more…
We will also have all of the top fly fishing manufacturers (Simms, Patagonia, Umpqua, Echo, Airflo, Sage, Winston, Redington, Fishpond, Scott, Abel, Ross, etc…) here with all of their women’s gear to show. They will have their sizing kits with them as well as all the newest gear available. This is a great chance to see the newest products and get sized correctly for a better fishing experience.
