This week, we welcomed two vibrant groups led by Kara and Emily, whose energy and persistence turned a challenging week into a rewarding journey. Rio Marié has always demanded dedication, and this group exemplified the spirit required to succeed here. Known as the ultimate destination for trophy peacock bass, Rio Marié offered a blend of challenges and triumphs, reinforcing why these waters are sought after by anglers worldwide. Every cast held the potential for a giant, and with consistency and skill, they were rewarded with unforgettable encounters.
Weather Conditions:
This week brought mostly sunny days to Rio Marié, with temperatures ranging from 28°C to 40°C (82°F to 104°F), creating warm, clear conditions ideal for anglers seeking big game on the fly.
River Conditions:
Water levels remained stable and extremely low, providing challenging but rewarding conditions for targeting trophy peacock bass in their natural habitats.

Highlights of the Week:
The week kicked off strong with Emily’s return to Rio Marié. Back with a score to settle, she wasted no time, landing two massive peacocks over 20 lbs and proving her persistence unstoppable. Pamela followed up with her own 20 lb beast, setting the tone for what was to come.The giants kept showing up, and the women answered. Kristin connected with two serious heavyweights, then Kate, an Alaskan steelhead guide and lodge owner, brought her A-game, pulling in two more Marié titans. And to close it out, Kara found redemption on the final day with a monster of her own.
