ON THE FOURTH DAY guests depart and are driven right through the Andes, fishing their way for a couple of hours over into Chile and ultimately arriving to the Temple Camp. Arriving here early, they spend the day floating one of the many reaches of the Rio Figueroa. The next two days they will experience other stretches of the Fig and/or do a drift on one of its most pro- ductive tributaries. Following the third days fishing anglers are transitioned back to the mother lodge – Patagonian Basecamp – for another 3 days of fishing.
As the distances between the lodges are short, there is no loss of fishing time. The 10-night package allows you 9 full days of the most diverse fishing imaginable. For those wishing to combine the stellar wilderness day floats with some “off-the-grid” small stream walk-and-wade trips, the Patagonia One program is an opportu- nity of a lifetime. With only one full year of them under our belts, the program has been a huge success, and there are only a limited num- ber of these trips offered – you will want to con- tact us soon to try and find space in one of them!
