WE DISCOVERED Coyhaique, Chile for our- selves in 1980, after first wetting our line in the Lake District and Puyuhuapi. It was an enlight- ening trip firmly established the Aisen Region in our minds as the epicenter of Chilean fly fishing. Thirty years later, it’s more true than ever!
The rivers and streams of the area seldom fol- low the roadway. They’re off the beaten path and require hard work, specialized equipment and plenty of know-how to find and fish. The area is a magnificent spiderweb of large rivers and small streams and has something for everyone.

Guests are met at the Balmaceda airport and accommodated in style at Nico’s brand new lodge, located in the rural outskirts of the village of Coyhaique. This beautiful facility was only recently completed, so guests arriving during the 2015/2016 season will be the first to experience it. Overlooking a beautiful river valley, the lodge is built for comfort and to take advantage of the surrounding vistas. Meals are superb, with an authentic Chilean flair, and dinners are comple- mented with wonderful Chilean varietals.
All transfers, daily transportation, meals, license, beverages, wine and guided fishing are included at Trouters Patagonia.
