Dietz's Sculpin is a pattern developed from close to 40 years experience of on the water time. Sculpin or (prime rib for Large fish), traditionally hang out on the bottom of the river or lake. When they move from one place to another they tend to move up in the water column and then back down to the bottom. This was the prime reason for a jig hook, or to mimic that movement. The coloring of this pattern is olive brown and gold mottling with a light to white baitfish belly. The pattern can be stripped through the fish's dining room or swung! The BigHole river in Montana and the Famed McCloud river in northern California were the design studios for this pattern. Take a chance and fish this through your favorite big fish lair, but hang on!
